Constitutional Law Course

English

The Constitutional Law Course by Professor Henrique Savonitti Miranda was released on December 9th, 2004, at the Library of the Federal Senate in Brasilia, in the presence of several authorities.

The 1st Edition was edited according to Constitutional Amendment n° 45/2004, establishing the Reform of the Judiciary, enacted the day before. In it, the author conducts a thorough study of the country’s constitutional law, as well as the issues surrounding its implementation.

One of the most respected members of the Supreme Court, Minister at the time, Mr. Carlos Mário da Silva Vellos was in charge of the Preface, which stressed the intellectual pleasure of reading the original work and said he was surprised with the quality of work.

In the words of the Minister and former President of the Supreme Court, “the book surprised me. And it surprised me, above all by what was in it. With a slimmer, concise, lean language, Henrique Savonitti Miranda exposes and analyzes the major issues of constitutional law, providing understanding to the student who is beginning the study of law and gives direction to those who have already started”. He concludes, saying he was sure that the publication “will work as a guide to students in Law Schools and it is essential reading for all who deal with the Public Law, especially Constitutional Law”.

Currently, the book is in the 5th edition, published by the Senate, launched in 2007.
